Missy Jayme

Missy Jayme began her dance training in elementary school where she auditioned for and was picked to participate in the New York City program NDI (National Dance Institute) founded and directed by Jacques D’Amboise, a Kennedy Center Honors recipient. She danced with the program for 3 years performing at such venues as Madison Square Garden and Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall.

In 2001 she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Theater Arts. She began her stage training with Aneatte Charles,  Marilyn Sokol, and Jim Niesen. After graduation, she became an Equity actor with The Irondale Ensemble Company, becoming a teaching artist for the company until 2003.

In 2004, Missy became an educator in the Jersey City Public Schools District. In 2010, she officially became the school's first Drama Teacher sharing her love of Drama/Performing Arts to young children in elementary school, where the fire was first ignited for her.
Missy Jayme started her Mambo/Salsa career in early 2005 with Frank Garcia but moved on to study with many latin dance greats such as the one and only Salsa Diva, Addie Rodriguez for 2 years. In 2005, she became a member of the all female Mambo dance team Dulce Bembe of New York City. In 2008, Missy joined the professional Latin Dance Team, The Revelation Dancers, directed by long-time salsa dancer CC Williams. Other extensive dance trainings have been in Latin Jazz Fusion, with Michael Fielder. For the last 2 years, she has been dancing with the Rhythm Divas, directed by Jamie Josephson, currently performing at social venues and events- local and abroad.

In 2010, Missy passed, with high honors, the Bronze Level Teacher Certification exam with DVIDA (Dance Vision International Dance Association) in the areas of: Rhumba/Chacha, Latin Hustle, West Coast Swing and Salsa On2; all instructed and examined by Jamie Josephson.
